Dear Self, what do you love about me? It is good to ask ourselves about ourselves… Because it is so easy to become engulfed in society’s idea of what we should be. In a rapidly changing world, it is normal to change with the fads. It is healthy to go after your dreams and attain your goals. But who are you without the accolades? Do you know? Does it hurt to reflect there? Do you need notoriety to confirm you? Does money make you who you are? Do the awards give access to some greater version of yourself? Is it okay to look at your past and judge your friends who are not accomplished to your approval and standards? Who the fuck are YOU?
Society does not dictate who you are no matter any outward gain. Who are you when stripped of everything except the necessities? A lost cause, a suicide attempt, a depressive vegetable? No! That isn’t you at all. We are all spirit, vibrating as equally as we choose. Some days we all awaken feeling less than we would like. Still, we have a choice to change the direction of our day almost immediately. We can say yes when everything within says no. Who are you? Are you defeated by thoughts, or the words of others, or even what you’ve begun to say and think about yourself?
Have you talked to yourself lately? You should! Tell yourself what amazes you about you. Laugh with yourself and cry with yourself. Cry about the hardships and the fear but laugh about how you get up anyway and face those hurts and fears without question. You know it will turn around. “This too shall pass.” Ultimately LOVE CONQUERS ALL… LOVE MY FRIEND, STARTS WITHIN… Love thy neighbor and LOVE GOD as you LOVE YOURSELF… What do you love about you?
